This did exactly what it was supposed to. I have a Toshiba R940 running Windows 7 with a docking station going to multiple monitors. I got the mult. monitors working ONCE on the docking station and never again. I got tired of wondering why and simply ordered this to make my problem go away.
I could not have asked for anything better, I connected my monitor (used the included DVI->HDMI adapter, connected to an HDMI/DVI cable), plugged in the USB cable. The drivers installed automatically (no downloads or installation disc needed), my screens blinked a few times, and presto! it came right up, with an extended desktop at the monitor's resolution, just like I wanted. I didn't even have to open the control panel and mess with the extended desktop settings!

I have this hooked up to a 2 port KVM switch. I toggle back and fourth with the KVM between a PC running Windows 10 and a Macbook running OS X 10.11.3 (El Capitan). The Coredy MDA1920 activates my second monitor instantly and flawlessly on both computers. I am very happy with the adapter working so well on both operating systems and at such a low price.
